Hi Everyone

Hi I know alot has happened since I last did a blog and I'm so sorry about my lazziness. I have a extremely busy Summer and the worst part of it I'm going to be gone during the first 3 days of the Olympics :(. But anyways if you havent heard yet the US Olympic team is...
Shawn Johnson
Nastia Liukin (If she messes this up the US I'll have more reason to hate her)
Alicia Sacramone
Chellsie Memmel
Samantha Peszek
and the lucky 6th person is...

Bridget Sloan!!!

I would have liked to see Mattie Larson get the 5th spot instead of Samantha Peszek but with the stress fracture it didnt happen as Matha wanted no injured girls on her team. But for the 6th spot I think its great Martha took her. Plus her DTY may be higher than Sams so she may compete in the event final on that.

For the Alternates...

Jana Bieger
Ivana Hong
Corrie Lothrop

Jana and Ivana looked absolutely devestated and Corrie looked fine with where she was and shocked that she was an alternate. She probally would have never been a alternate if it wasnt for the fact Mattie announced she had a stress fracture to the public on the final day of competition. Also the rumor was the alternates were all going but not to China but to Japan but it now has been said there working on getting all girls tourist visas and they should be able to go to China. What a great story this will be for Lothrop as I dont think shes been home since being adopted.

Now onto the injurys of camp...

Will start out with Shayla Worleys broken Tibula. Shayla broke her Tibula on the balance beam in warm ups the day before the Olympic team was announced. This injury killed her Olympic dreams, even though she has hinted she may try for 2012. Good luck to Shayla on whatever decision you make.

Now Chellsie Memmel went out of bounds on her second pass and stopped her music with a whip lash. She did not compete UB or VT but nailed her BB routine. But on top of this Chellsie just had a sore neck and still made the US Olympic team.

Ok now to Mattie Larson, Mattie has apparently had a stress fracture since trials but did not want to get X-Rays as she really wanted to just get through the process. On the second day of camp Mattie could not take the pain anymore and did not compete her FX and VT where she could help the team the most but her UB. This made her Olympics a no go and Mattie was out of the runnnings. When Mattie got back to LA it was comfirmed she had a stress fracture. Poor Mattie

Now for the final news the 6 Members of the team and the 3 Alternates are currently in Texas for a final training camp. The girls will leave on the 31st for San Jose and then Beijing. Wish luck to all the girls and no injuries and Oh Yes...

Outlook on girls invited to Selection Camp

Nastia Liukin- Already Qualified for Olympics

Pros- Nastia has a very high start value on her UB routine with a A Score of 7.7. Nastia also is good on BB with the title of World Champion even though she seems to slip on this when in pressured situations(ex. World AA fell of BB, World TF fell on BB) Nastia also has plenty of Inernational expierience including 3 Worlds.

Cons- Nastia needs to clean up that ugly UB dismount of hers she seems to land very low on it every time and norrmally hits the mat or something like that. Nastia also falters under pressure by falling etc. Nastia UB routine is also extremely long and she seems to be way tired by the ending when she performs her dismount. She is also very inconsistent on FX she is famous for going Out of Bounds, falling etc. Also on VT Nastia has a very low start value and performs a very easy vault all she does is a 1 1/2 Twisting Yurchecho this is not what she needs to perform if she is to beat SJ who is performing an Amanar.

Here are the videos of Nastia to share

Alicia Sacramones review will be coming next :)

Olympic Selection Camps Outlook Team USA

Ok so after lots of inticipation we are finnally down to 12 athletes who could represent us in Beijing with 2 already named. I would like to do an outlook for before camp to who I think will make this very special team.

Shawn Johnson- World, Olympic Trials, Nationals, Pan American, Jeleso AA Champion

Pros- Shawn is a very solid competitior she is very good on all 4 events and has one almost every senior competition possible. She is the AA World Champion coming into the Olympics and will have alot of pressure on her shoulder. She performs the hardest vault in the World has G marks on every event. Shawn is also a very solid competitior and has proven that she can work well under pressure.

Cons- Shawn is have trouble with her Amanar by getting it fully rotated but should have it under control quite soon. Also her triple FX Shawn has seemed to have trouble with getting it fully rotated and it may be interpruted as a 2 1/2 at the Olympics if Shawn doesnt fix it which will make AA chances slimmer. Also Shawn isnt very strong on UB but makes up for it on all the other events with some of the hardest skills in the world.

Here is Shawn at Worlds last year

Here is Shawn at the Olympic Trials

I will finish this post tommorrow but I need to get to bed night

Welcome

Ok so welcome to my new blog. So ok this is a place where I can talk about my gymnastics feeling and how much I hate Nastia. Yes I just said it I hate Nastia ok she is very inconsistent and dont say thats not true seriously has she ever gone through a meet in the last 2 years with out going Out of Bounds, Falling etc. If it wasnt for the fact she can flick a few UB tricks she would be long gone on the Olympic team. Plus she never smiles she lands low on her dumb UB dismout all the time and the judges act like it was never there. Nastia in my book is the worst gymnast ever. Seriously look at her all she knows how to do is fall...

Then she gets all mad and her daddy frows a fit and looks like thats the very first fall she has ever had. I wish Chellsie Memmel would have got the spot compared to Nastia(Cccam if you are reading this I am sorry I just had to say this).

So my next post is going to be a overview of all 12 girls who have been invited to the Selection Camp and unfortunately this includes Nastia. Oh by the way I love Shawn Johnson, Mattie Larson, and Alicia Sacramone :D
